Our administrators' goals are to create an atmosphere that sets high educational expectations for all students and provide a supportive system to assure those goals are satisfied. We accomplish this by encouraging a positive school culture, setting high criteria for teacher performance, heightened academic expectations for students and engaging strong community and alumni involvement.
John Zehentbauer has been with the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center since 1991 when he taught Aviation Maintenance Technology until 1999. He then served as Career Technical Supervisor at MCCTC from 2000-2007 moving into the MCCTC Director position from 2007-2014. Mr. Zehentbauer is currently the Assistant Superintendent at MCCTC. He earned his BS and Masters at Kent State University where he is also an adjunct professor. He and his wife MaryBeth have 3 children, Brian, Ashley and Emily.

Mara Banfield is Principal, Curriculum and Instruction, at MCCTC. Previously Mara has served as a Principal at Canfield Village Middle School. She also was an Instructional Consultant at the MCESC, and Assistant Principal at Austintown Fitch High School. Prior to becoming an administrator, Mara taught science at the high school level. Mara is a graduate of The Ohio State University (undergraduate) and Cleveland State University (graduate). Mara was a collegiate athlete and officiates NCAA Women's Lacrosse. She lives in Poland, Ohio with her husband Brian, and has two stepsons Bryce and Blake.

Ralph Sandy has been at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center since 2007 when he was hired as a Social Studies teacher, prior to that he spent 11 years teaching in the Struthers City Schools. In 2009 he joined the MCCTC Administrative team as the Assistant Principal, and in 2014 was named Principal. Ralph received his Bachelor’s Degree from Youngstown State University and his Master’s degree and Superintendent's license from Ashland University. Ralph has 2 sons, Ralph Jr. and Avery.

Matt Campbell is the Principal of the Global Academy at MCCTC. Matt has been a Social Studies and Career Based Intervention teacher for 18 years. He was first hired by the MCCTC in 2007 and based at Poland Seminary High School. Matt has previously taught at Columbiana, Crestview, and Cardinal Mooney High Schools. He has also served in many coaching capacities as a high school football, baseball, and softball head coach and assistant coach. Matt earned his Bachelor’s Degree in History from John Carroll University and his Master’s Degree in Education Administration from Youngstown State University. He and his wife Lisa Campbell live in Canfield, OH and are proud parents of three children: Emma, Matthew, and Addison.

Mr. David Mullane is a visionary educational leader with a diverse background in instructional and organizational leadership. Throughout his career, Mr. Mullane has served as an English teacher, principal, curriculum director, and assistant superintendent. He has created extensive resources for educators and has delivered training programs for hundreds of educators throughout the state of Ohio. Mr. Mullane earned a Bachelor of Science in English and Education and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration at Youngstown State University where he is currently completing his dissertation for his doctorate in educational leadership with a focus on law and policy. For more than a decade he has worked as a research associate for the University of Michigan and Youngstown State University. He has been published in The Encyclopedia of School Law, has worked as a constant advocate and collaborator on state law and policy pertaining to education, and he is an adjunct professor at Youngstown
