Hospitals, diagnostic laboratories and blood donor centers all have a growing need for phlebotomy technicians. Employment of phlebotomists is expected to increase 25% over the next seven (7) years!* This course focuses on performing various functions such as obtaining patient specimens, venipuncture, micro-collection, and specimen processing and handling all while maintaining patient safety and confidentiality.

This course is conducted within our Medical Assistant program and you will be participating in hands-on training alongside medical assistant students. (As part of this course you will also take part in Family and Friends Night on 3/24/20, 3/26/20, 4/7/20 and 4/9/20 from 6p-8p. *Source BLS.gov Prerequisite: Medical Terminology
