Nail Tech

The Nail Tech – Senior Only Cosmetology Credential program is a one-year, senior-only, half-day program designed for students passionate about pursuing a career in the professional nail care industry. This program provides the hands-on training required to earn the Ohio State Board of Cosmetology Manicurist License, opening doors to immediate employment and career advancement opportunities in the beauty and spa industry.

Students will learn the essential skills of nail care, design, and artistry while mastering industry safety and sanitation standards. Coursework includes nail anatomy, manicuring and pedicuring techniques, artificial nail application, sanitation and disinfection practices, and client relations. Students gain real-world experience working in a salon setting to prepare for both the Ohio State Cosmetology and Barber Board licensing exam and entry-level employment as licensed Nail Technicians.

This flexible, half-day program allows students to complete academic coursework in one of three ways, depending on their schedule:

Through their home school (if the schedule permits)
Online through MCCTC
In-person at MCCTC (if the schedule allows)
