Advanced Electricity & HVAC

The Advanced Electricity & HVAC program is a senior-only, one-year program designed for students seeking fast-track entry into high-demand careers in the electrical and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) trades. This half-day program focuses on hands-on, technical training that prepares students for immediate employment, apprenticeships, or advanced certifications in the skilled trades industry.

Students begin with the Construction Technology CORE, developing essential safety, tool usage, and construction principles. As the program progresses, they dive into residential and commercial electrical systems, pipe bending, power distribution, and lineman training, alongside comprehensive HVAC system design, installation, diagnostics, and maintenance.

Academic classes may be taken in one of three ways to fit each student’s schedule:

Through their home school (if the schedule permits)
Online through MCCTC
In-person at MCCTC (if the schedule allows)

This flexible structure allows students to earn industry-recognized credentials while completing their academic coursework, ensuring they graduate workforce-ready with the technical expertise needed for success in both electrical and HVAC careers.
