Advanced Electricity, Construction Technologies & HVAC

(Students select one specialty — Advanced Electricity, Construction Technologies, or HVAC — when they apply. Each student spends approximately 50% of their two-year program in their chosen specialty area.)

Program Overview

The Advanced Electricity, Construction Technologies, & HVAC Program provides a comprehensive foundation for students pursuing careers in the construction and electrical trades.
All students begin with Construction Technology CORE, focusing on safety, tool usage, and essential construction principles.Throughout their junior and senior years, students rotate through specialized labs in HVAC, Construction Management, and Plan Reading & Estimating, while also learning key electrical concepts such as residential and commercial wiring, pipe bending, power distribution, and lineman work.Hands-on training includes applying heating and cooling principles to the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems, as well as project management and blueprint interpretation. This well-rounded experience prepares students for a wide range of in-demand careers in construction, electricity, and HVAC industries.

Postsecondary & Apprenticeship Opportunities

Graduates of this program are well-prepared to enter the workforce, pursue apprenticeships, or continue their education in fields such as Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or HVAC Technology through partnerships with colleges and trade unions.
