Allied Health & Pre-Nursing
Students learn the skills necessary for successful clinical healthcare careers. Students will be prepared to enter the various fields of therapeutic and diagnostic services like nursing, nurse assisting, clinical medical assisting, dental assisting, nutrition, and more. Students in this program can become state certified in Nurse Aide (STNA), phlebotomy, clinical medical assisting (CMA), EMT basic, and EKG technician. Allied Health and Pre-Nursing provides opportunities for job experience and authentic employment in health care. Students in this lab must be passionate, caring, honest, motivated, and dedicated to patient care.
Students in this program will learn:
- Clinical medical assisting skills (AMCA)
- State of Ohio nurse aide training program (NATCEP)
- Certification in CPR/FirstAid
- EKG and basic blood drawing procedures
- Medical terminology
- Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
