Drug Free Clubs of America is a group that takes a stance to be drug free. Students complete a drug screen and are rewarded with snacks, pizza, a field trip and gift card raffles. This is a great club to have on a resume. How to join: Sign up at https://drugfreeclubs.com/ and select “Apply” in the top right corner. All STEM and CTC students will put “Mahoning County CTC” as their school.
Robotics is an educational club that encourages teamwork, the engineering design process, problem solving, building, journaling, interviewing, and coding. Community service-driven organization that is a branch of the Canfield/North Jackson Kiwanis Club. We take trips to the Rescue Mission Youngstown, Angels for Animals, Project MKC, and Shepard of the Valley to offer our assistance anyway we can. Students must earn 10 hours of community service and pay $10 dues. We also plan MCCTC Prom (juniors and seniors) every spring. How to join- Sign-ups at the beginning of the year via Mrs. Lanterman. Competitive Gaming League. We compete against other High Schools in Ohio. Games available are: Fortnite, Overwatch, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Rocket League, Valorant and Apex Legends Depending on the number of registrants, Varsity, JV and Club rosters are available. How to join- Registration for the fall season is the first two weeks of the school year. Registration for the Spring Season is generally during January.

SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. Students can compete in trade programs such as: CNC Mill, CNC Lathe, CNC Technician, Automated Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Additive Manufacturing. Students may also compete in design/engineering events: Tech Prep Showcase, Engineering and Design, Chapter Display, Community Service, and soft skill competitions such as speech, interview and many others. Student Council gives students an opportunity to develop leadership by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects. In addition to planning events that contribute to school spirit and school welfare, the student council is the voice of the student body. They help share student ideas, interests and concerns with the school wide community. Student Council acts as a liaison between the students and administration in order to have an open line of communication. How to join- Google classroom interest form at the beginning of the year. HOSA is an organization that allows students to come together and compete in medically relevant competitions! Any student considering a career in the medical field should consider joining! How to join- Email Mr. Hack
English Festival gives students who have read the books chosen by the English Festival Board an opportunity to visit the YSU campus for a day in April, attend sessions led by authors, college faculty, and other professionals, participate in competitions and games, and win prizes. How to join- Email Mrs. Valingo (10th grade) or Miss Seebacher (9th grade) or stop in to see us by November 1st!
