March 19, 2020 Resources & Info Updates
We know that food is a top priority during the closure. We have contacted the 26 plus districts that have students enrolled through MCCTC. Each home district has a specific plan in place to offer food to students, which can be found here. Please reach out directly to the home school contacts for specific questions or to request food. If this food is not enough or not offered to you, please reach out to guidance for assistance.
Information will be mailed in two weeks regarding your current graduation plan/pathway. All students need to continue working in each of their classes to meet graduation requirements, but we will update you on your pathway and if you still need to complete credentials, paperwork or any testing.
Current CCP classes are continuing online. Reach out to your CCP instructor if you have any concerns. Email Mrs. Sullivan (Valerie.Sullivan@MahoningCTC.com) if you do not receive a reply from the CCP instructor.
Students applying for CCP for 2020-2021….t he letter of Intent is still due by April 1. You can take a picture and email it to ValleySTEM - Cassandra.Psaras@MahoningCTC.com or MCCTC Valerie.Sullivan@MahoningCTC.com . The deadlines for application to the universities have been extended. More information will come to those who expressed interest in applying for CCP. Make sure to check your emails for updates. Click on this link If you are interested in CCP and have not previously filled out the form that was sent to your emails.
We are extending the local scholarship deadline to April 24, 2020. Unfortunately, we do not have control over any other scholarship deadlines. We have reached out but do not believe anyone will extend deadlines. Please contact your counselor if you need a transcript or any part of your scholarship complete. We can work on a plan to help you submit them on time.
We understand that you received an email from ACT with instructions for free rescheduling to the June 13 or another future test date (July 18, 2020). If you need assistance with this please feel free to email or call your school counselor.
When rescheduling, it will prompt you to pay a registration fee to make this change, but that fee will be fully refunded within 3-5 business days. If your parents/guardians are unable to do this please contact me and we will figure this out together.
If you are unable to reschedule for either June 13 or July 18 please reschedule for a refund from the April registration fee and we can reschedule you to take the ACT in the Fall at the beginning of next school year.
If you need assistance with this please reach out to your school counselor and we will be happy to help you!
