During this camp, participants will learn about the design process and demonstrate the 21st century skills of teamwork, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity. The students will “form” their own business, brainstorm a new product or an innovation of an existing product, design and/or build the item, and create the supporting business plan. Students will also take part in several challenge activities that involve designing, critical thinking, and teamwork.
Students participating in the STEM Camp will learn about 3D printing, Laser Engraving, Robotics, Vacuum Forming, Plastic Injection, Sticker Printing, Engineering Challenge, CNC Router. We will end the camp with some design challenges.

Students will engage in and learn the following areas: General Shop Safety, Manual Mill Safety, Manual Mill Operations, Coding, Basic G-code programming, Fabrication
Students will prepare multiple recipes each day in an effort to teach a wide variety of culinary concepts. Each class will be full of hands-on cooking experience and recipe tasting/development using an assortment of fresh fruit and vegetables, meats, and grains. Students will work in teams to prepare food for the whole class to sample, all while covering a wide range of cooking skills like grilling, sautéing, baking, basic culinary measurements, and knife skills.
Exercise Science will be covering the overall understanding of training strategies, injury prevention, and athletic competition. Students will expand their knowledge of pre, during, and post-training exercises as well as compete in athletic events fun for all students!
Students in the robotics camp will learn to build, program, and operate robots to perform various tasks using VEX robotics. Students will be introduced to robotics through a program developed by MIT called Scratch where they will be able to animate an object by dragging blocks of code onto the screen. Students will then build a robot out of VEX parts designed to complete a series of simple challenges that the students will learn to write a program for.
Students will learn explanations of torches, gases, hoses, consumables, and operation of torch setup, and basic stick welding. safety is the number one priority.
Build a real 6x6 Amphibious Machine! The class covers Shop safety, Basic use of hand tools, and power tools, Team work, How a T-20 transmission works, Drive a machine with skid steer steering, and Assemble a 6x6 All Terrain Amphibious Vehicle
