My name is Cassandra Bair Psaras. I am the School Counselor at The Valley Stem + Me2 Academy. I was born and raised in Poland, Ohio. I graduated from Poland Seminary High School which I am proud to say helped in paving the way for my professional success. I continued my education at Kent State University and earned my Bachelor's degree as an Intervention Specialist, K-12, Mild to Moderate in 2009. I taught in Stow Munroe Falls City Schools for five years before making my way to the Mahoning County Career Technical Center. In 2010, I attended Kent State University and earned my Master’s degree in School Counseling while I was a Vocational Special Education Coordinator at the Mahoning County Career Technical Center for three years. I recently earned a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership Studies from Ashland University and working towards earning my administrative degree. I am happy to say I am now serving as a school counselor at The Valley Stem + Me2 Academy for the past three years and counting!

My goal is to inspire my students to always continue to learn, that knowledge is power and teach them it is one thing that can never be taken from them. My role as a school counselor has truly been rewarding and I’m excited to be working with students, teachers, the administrative team, parents, and community members who are devoted to educational success. My belief is to always encourage students to strive to achieve their goals, embrace their love for learning as well as providing a nurturing and positive environment so all my students feel safe and we as the Valley Stem Team can prepare them for adulthood.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need my assistance. Wishing everyone an amazing school year!
