RAMTEC Credentials


At MCCTC, students will have the unique opportunity to gain additional credentials in robotics and advanced manufacturing industry certifications through RAMTEC while still in High School. RAMTEC moves beyond manufacturing and robotics basics to prepare students for the shifting demands of real-world manufacturing facilities though extensive industry partnerships

RAMTEC’s cutting-edge work has been recognized by the Society of Manufacturing Educational Foundation, Ohio Economic Development Association, Governor Kasich, and the Ohio Department of Education. Dozens of corporate and educational partners help RAMTEC stay on the forefront of technology.

RAMTEC's Mission is to grow Ohio's economy by building a skilled workforce, partnering with effective training programs, and connecting Ohio employers with qualified workers in Automated and Advanced Manufacturing. RAMTEC provides opportunities for high school students in Advanced Machining, Engineering Technologies, and Welding.

RAMTEC partnered with the six biggest companies in the WORLD to create curriculum, affordable prices to education, training, and certifications. FANUC Robotics, Yaskawa/Motoman Robotics, FANUC CNC Machining, Parker Hannifin Hydraulics, Rockwell Automation/Allen Bradley PLC's and Lincoln Electric Welding, and Stratasys 3D Printing supply the highest percentage of Advanced Manufacturing equipment to the Automation Industry today.

Increasing sophistication in technology and product manufacturing means that the skill-level of entry-level employees is constantly on the rise. This means that being prepared requires more than a basic understanding, but an immersion in industry experience that can only be gained by learning from those that do. RAMTEC’s highly qualified instructors are strongly connected to industry leaders fostering an education filled with the most up-to-date and relevant practices. Coupled with the opportunity to gain several recognized certifications, RAMTEC graduates enter the workforce with strong knowledge and advanced skills

RAMTEC Credentials

Over the next decade nearly 3 1/2 Million manufacturing jobs likely need to be filled.

The skills gap is expected to result in 2 Million of these jobs being unfilled.

The key to closing the skills gap in advanced manufacturing is delivering education & training that mirrors what is taking place in industry.

Industry Credentials Defined: A process of program evaluation ensuring that individual programs meet Industry standards in the areas of curriculum, teacher qualification, lab specifications, equipment as developed or supported by business and Industry to verify student mastery of technical skills and competencies.


The RAMTEC model is a national response to deliver competency-based, stackable industry training leading to Industry Credentials for future workers in robotics, automation, industrial maintenance, advanced manufacturing and the connected enterprise.
