MCCTC Adult Culinary Program Featured in Business Journal

The Adult Division Culinary and Restaurant Management program was featured in November's Business Journal! Chef Sean Kushma and Chef Quinn Meechan were both interviewed and filmed for a video piece for the Business Journal website and a print article that was published in the November edition. The Business Journal filmed our students in action in the kitchen as they worked hard to prepare the recipes that were assigned to them that day. The Chefs were filmed showing the students knife skills and how to prep all of the ingredients they needed for the dish they were making.

The Culinary and Restaurant management program at the Adult Career Center is a 10 month course. Students are trained in the skills and techniques needed to be employed in the culinary world.

Through hands-on training the students learn:

  • knife skills
  • soups, stocks and sauces
  • meats and seafood
  • bake shop
  • international cooking
  • menu marketing
  • food service costs
  • team building
  • restaurant management
  • and so much more

All students enrolled in the Culinary and Restaurant Management program are trained to sit for certifications in ServSafe and ManageFirst. Financial Aid is available to those who qualify.
