Business IT

Program Description

During the school year students will rotate through Information Support Services pathway as well as Programming and Simulations pathway.

Business IT

This area of Information Technology deals with the design, application, implementation, support, or management of computer- based information systems and/or software. Students will gain the necessary skills to use computer systems and software to provide technical assistance to others in a variety of technology sites.

Programming and Simulations

Students in the Programming and Simulations program will learn programming languages, basic web page layouts, and computer/networking architecture. The program of study emphasizes designing applications for individual Personal Computers, Web-based applications, and hardware design. Students will use their skills to create products for businesses, education, training, entertainment, communications, and marketing.

Higher Education Options

The focus of the Business IT pathway is on a seamless transition to a two-year associate degree program. Employment comes after the completion of the associate degree. Interim employment may be secured in positions that deal with information management, software development, computer value-added reselling and network installations.
